RILEY OUTRAISES MOLINARO FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE QUARTER
Brings in 2.5x incumbent’s haul in Q1 and takes lead in cash on hand
ITHACA, N.Y. — Without taking a penny from corporate PACs, Democratic challenger Josh Riley outraised Republican incumbent Marc Molinaro by more than $800,000 in the first three months of 2024, according to FEC reports made public yesterday.
Riley brought in over $1,350,000 in the first quarter of 2024, more than 2.5x Molinaro’s haul over the same period of time, and has $2,500,000 cash on hand. That’s $700,000 more than Molinaro has – a significant advantage in one of the most competitive and closely watched House races in the country. 83% of the contributions to Riley’s campaign are $25 or less.
“I am honored by the outpouring of grassroots support our campaign has received,” said Riley. “Upstate New Yorkers are tired of career politicians selling us out to the utility companies who jack up our rates, the pharmaceutical companies who put profits over patients, and the far-right fringes in Washington who, like Marc Molinaro, have pushed a nationwide abortion ban that restricts care for women here in New York. I am not accepting a penny of corporate PAC money, and my vote will never be for sale.”
