MOLINARO TEAMS UP WITH ANTI-ABORTION EXTREMIST TO CAMPAIGN IN NY-19
Ithaca, N.Y. — Nearly 100 days out from Election Day, Marc Molinaro is campaigning in NY-19 with Republican Congresswoman Kat Cammack, an anti-abortion extremist who co-chairs the House’s leading anti-abortion caucus, praised the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and co-sponsors the federal Life at Conception Act, a total abortion ban without exceptions for rape, incest, or to save a woman’s life.
Molinaro campaigning alongside an anti-choice extremist comes as no surprise, considering his dangerous record of ripping away Upstate New York women’s rights:
- As a gubernatorial candidate, Molinaro opposed critical legislation like the Reproductive Health Act, a landmark abortion rights bill in New York that codified Roe v. Wade.
- Molinaro was caught on tape supporting an abortion ban that would restrict access, even here in New York.
- In Washington, Molinaro has voted repeatedly against women’s reproductive freedoms.
- Molinaro voted for a bill that could punish doctors who provide abortion care with jail time.
- Molinaro voted to restrict reproductive health care nationally for service members and their families.
- Molinaro helped block the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would protect abortion access nationwide.
The list goes on…
“Marc Molinaro has spent his thirty-year political career trying to rip away women’s rights, so it’s no wonder that one of the House’s leading anti-abortion advocates is coming to New York to line his pockets,” said Josh Riley. “They’re desperate to keep me out of Congress because they know I’m pro-choice and I’ll fight like hell to put Roe v. Wade back into law.”
