RILEY RAISES $2 MILLION IN 2023

Raises $700K in the final quarter of the year and
enters 2024 with more than $1.4 million cash-on-hand

ITHACA, N.Y. — Today, Democratic congressional candidate Josh Riley announced having raised $696,556 in the fourth quarter of 2023, bringing his total 2023 fundraising haul to more than $2 million – all without taking a penny from corporate PACs.

Riley enters 2024 with more than $1.45 million cash-on-hand,  a significant warchest in one of the most competitive House races in the country. The average contribution to Riley’s campaign is less than $50, and 85% of the contributions to Riley’s campaign were $25 or less.

Riley’s continued fundraising strength demonstrates the grassroots momentum behind his campaign in a race that will be key to flipping control of the House. Riley outraised Republican incumbent Marc Molinaro in the second and third quarters of 2023, making Riley one of just four House challengers in the entire country to outraise their incumbent opponents over that period of time.

“I’m so grateful for the outpouring of grassroots support our campaign has received,” Riley said. “I’ll always fight for Upstate New Yorkers, and I’ll never take a penny from the corporate PACs that bribe politicians to do their bidding in Congress.”

“Marc Molinaro’s top supporters are utility monopolies jacking up rates on consumers, pharmaceutical companies price gouging seniors, and the radical DC Republicans fighting to tear away our rights. He’s working for them – not for us.” said Riley Campaign Manager Daniel Fleiss. “Molinaro continues to sell us out to the highest bidder, and it’s never been more clear that Upstate New York is ready for change.”
